Writing Rituals

My friend Mike and I watch a ton of videos on how to be better writers. If I find something that I like, I’ll send it his way and visa versa.

He sent me something about developing a morning routine. I thought it had a lot of good ideas in it except for the whole wearing clothes thing.

Yeah. I don’t. I don’t wear anything when I am at home whether I am working on my writing or doing laundry or anything else. Mike and I are of the same mind on that part.

Every time I have to put a bra on for something, I want to kill myself soon after. I hate wearing bras. I hate how they make me feel and I understand that I am in the minority on this one.

I am nude all day long. The only time that isn’t true is if I have to go out to the store or something like that and even then, I’ll skip the underwear if I can avoid it. Don’t get me wrong. I don’t dress like a complete whore. Maybe, a 75% whore is what I am doing.

I’m not typical. I get it. I just don’t like clothes and I refuse to make them part of any writing routine. I have a feeling that’s why Mike sent it to me. He knows how I am.

I’ll turn this post into a writing tip. The tip is don’t wear clothes. You’ll feel better and you’ll probably get a lot more done. It takes some getting used to but once you’ve done it for a couple of weeks, you’ll never want to wear clothes around the house again. Trust me on that one.
